    track pad

This is my Brother,s Gateway Netbook there,s 2 problems with it. The track pad isnt working at all. I have no way of moving the cursor at all i figured i might get a USB Mouse but the 3 USB ports on here dont work. Is there another way i can see if the track pad disabled ? Or can i get into Device Manager without the track pad working to see if theres any yellow warnings? This is Windows 7. No idea what my Brother has done he no,s nothing about PCs and i no very little. I use Linux Mint with no problems. Thank,s Chuck

chances are good it has been accidentally disabled.

all trackpads that I’ve seen have a Fn key combo that enables/disables it.
it varies so I can’t simply say hit Fn+8 but it’ll be something like that.
there should be a icon of the trackpad on one on the number keys if you’re lucky.
I’ve even seen some that have the on/off button right above the trackpad itself.
