My PC recognises there’s a phone attached to the PC and sees the SD card in the phone, I can drill down to the music folder that I want on the SD.. Then when I go to cut or copy and paste the mp3 files and paste them into the SD card, nothing happens. It just says moving the first file and nothing at all happens, it just hangs there saying it’s starting moving the first mp3 file but nothing at all happens.
It sounds like y ou may not have the phone set to the proper mode for file transfer.
How you do this does differ phone to phone. Normally it is along the lines of -
Tap the Menu button, then Settings, then Connect to PC. or press Connection Type and then choose “Disk Drive” or “Media Storage”. The names of these connection types can vary aswell. Other common connection type names include MTP or PTP.
what about the mundane options like the SD card is full?
what size is the mp3 file in question?
how is the SD card formatted, if FAT, there will be a 2gig file size limit.
