Erasing hard drive

I am trying6 to erase6 a hard drive7 on a Dell desktop with win7 pro…got a disk from Amazon Darks boot & nuke…
There were no instructions on disc other than boot and run..it has5 been running for 26 hours..is this normal??

Hello Hilton

It does seem it can take a while from the research i just did.. One person said it took 45 hours to finish but he got what he wanted in the end..

EDIT: It would seem as well it depends on how big the HDD is.. The person above had a 750 gig HDD.

FYI..for anybody erasing a hard drive using an eraser disc..have patience…mine was a 600 gig and took 47 hours…
Hint:not knowing what I was doing I had it do three passes…i am sure one would be sufficient..
