    Hello Hefs

You can in some places and probably be a good pc,since Win 7 is a really good OS. So you know MS main stream support has ended. It will still issue security fixes when needed.. I will open your thread for more opinions..

Windows 7 receives monthly patches through January 14, 2020.
You don’t need support from MS since at the end of June 2017, Windows 7 shares was at 49% . There are lots of forums that will offer you any Windows 7 help you need; don’t let end of mainstream support scare you. (I have NEVER depended on MS for support and I’ve been using computers since the 70’s).

Just a shame to use an O/S 3 generations old, and 10 has much going for it.

I’m an old timer. (I’ll be 70 later this month and my husband will be 74). I’m sticking with Windows 7 until it is no longer patched in January 2020. Then I will move to Android and/or linux. I want no parts of Windows 10 - EVER! No more Windows for me beyond 7.

If Win 7 has anywhere the software made by 3rd party, like XP has had especially now with xp, it has a secure 3rd party browser that can be used now. So my thinking is Win 7 will have the same in the future.
