no malware and still really slow

I was working with g3n-h@ckm@n on a malware problem..he had me run a program and it showed 3 rootkits that were quarantined..
I ran a couple of others and they show no problems..buy my computer is running really slow..internet connection is ok,cleaned every thing out, rebooted and still slow…
Any ideas ? I see g3n-h@ckm@n is over seas…and thank him for his help but have not heard from him in several days so that is why this post..
OH…once it is quarantined does that end the threat ??

yep, I use it all the time.. and every thing I run IE sfc/scannow.. all tell me there are no issues…the slow loading is the worse..it is not as bad moving around after loaded..
Like I mentioned before I know I had 2 rootkits on here at sometime …but they are in quarantine.. does that remove the threat or do they have to be removed..?
