Windows7 Startup list

I have a couple of ie shortcuts on the desktop (Amazon and Ebay) and annoyingly they have recently started to appear in the startup list. (See attached pic)
Any reason for this?
Not a serious problem - just annoying.

Veeg,
Not possible - only have two items in startup. (Not the two in question)

Right Click on the Start Menu Button and click on Properties
Make sure you are under the Start Menu Tab
Look under Privacy take two Check Marks out and Click OK

Rustys,
Tried that - it does prevent shortcuts appearing in the list but any program I then open doesn’t appear in the list also.
My niggle is with the ie shortcuts appearing.
I only want recently opened programs to appear in the list.

Since they were recently opened, they will continue to appear in the list.
Instead of having a shortcut to Amazon and eBay on your desktop, put Amazon and eBay in your Favorites or Bookmark menus. Better yet, put the icons on your Bookmarks Toolbar. ((I’m not sure if IE has something similar since I rarely use IE).) Remove the shortcuts from your desktop and the problem in now gone. Only the browser you opened to get to eBay and Amazon appear in the list.

If there is a particular page on Amazon or NewEgg that I want to save to look over an item later, I simply add it to my bookmarks. I then remove it either after I either buy the item or decide I don’t want it.

Hi Guys,
Whatever the problem was it appears to have gone away.
I decided to do a System Restore and it appears to have solved the problem.

Many thanks for all your assistance/comments.
