Please help (No display)

So I have tried to fix my computer and gone through several steps to try to fix it to no avail. My latest step was to get a motherboard diagnostic card which ended up showing that the last two things it tried to do in post were “The keyboard controller command byte is written. Next, issue the Pin 23 and 24 blocking and unblocking command” then “The memory below 1 MB has been tested and initialized. Adjust the displayed memory size for relocation and shadowing next.” I dont really understand what it means (what is wrong???) please help

Are you able to boot into safe mode?
Have you tried last known good configuration?
Have reset your bios to default settings?

Might also be worth re-seating your hardware, something may have been knocked loose.

Can’t see boot at all no boot up screen (don’t even know if it does boot)

What have you replaced,with model and number? Also we need your pc spec’s..

Replaced with exact same types (sent in and got replacements)
Specs:
CPU: amd fx-8350
GPU: Geforce gtx 750 ti 2gb
PSU: (can’t remember brand will post in few mins) 500 Bronze
Memory: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
Storage (OS): ADATA Premier Pro SP600 32GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Alt Storage: Seagate Pipeline HD 500GB 3.5" 5900RPM
Motherboard: ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 ATX AM3+

How many amps on the 12v rail? Usually anything less than 15A or 20A will render a graphics card using PCI-e power connections useless without more power.

Not having display means one of 2 things: something with the monitor or something with the graphics card

When I’m building computers, I’ll always put the graphics card in first and the CPU. If I see display, that means it checks out. If I don’t see display, it means either the CPU is not seated correctly, the motherboard is faulty, or the graphics card is not getting enough power/not seated.

It worked before screen froze once and then never worked again..

Monitor works with ps3 and GPU works in other pc

Hi Nocturn. Do you have lights on the motherboard that turn on when you power on the system? I am assuming the fans spin when you power on the system correct?

Have you tried inserting your stick of RAM into a different DIMM slot? Did you install the motherboard standoffs in the case? Did you plug both the 24 pin motherboard connector and the 8 pin CPU connector from the power supply onto the motherboard?

An observation, a couple of questions and a suggestion for you if I may;

Being able to try Last Known Good Configuration suggests that you have at some point in your troubleshooting steps been able to access the Advanced Boot Options where among other options both the Last Known Good Configuration and Safe Mode options can be found, this commonly done by tapping the F8 key on restart on Windows 7 computers, is that what you did to be able to try Last Known Good Configuration, if yes, what if any other options were available to you.

Can you tell us what method you used to restore the MBs default factory settings.
How did the issue first come about, did you change any settings such as overclock or add any new software (inc drivers) or hardware.
Is your stick of RAM in slot A2, the second slot from the CPU.
Are you using a USB or PS/2 wired type keyboard.

Whenever building a new computer, if the MB to be used does not have one and you do not have a spare it is always wise to spend a little extra cash on a BIOS speaker like the one in the included attachment, this goes on the pins identified in the other attachment which is from your MBs user manual, these are particularly useful when it comes to identifying bad RAM and if at all possible I would suggest that you invest in one for troubleshooting purposes.

Erm, kind of though last known configuration was the last partnership oof hardware didn’t realise it meant software, will try on Wednesday.

Well a new one came from the factory so it should be but I also did the CMOS battery thing.

Installed driver for my graphics card (from the disc) but I have also installed exactly the same driver to my old PC (afterwards and from the same disc)

This was what was confusing as you post the following in reply to a question asked by Malnutrition;

Are you able to boot into safe mode?
Can’t see boot at all no boot up screen (don’t even know if it does boot)

Without an onscreen display of any kind your will not be able to try Safe Mode and last known good configuration etc.

CMOS battery, RAM and BIOS speaker info acknowledged, regarding the USB keyboard, do you have or can you borrow a wired PS/2 type if only to rule out a keyboard error being the cause.
