unexplained shutdown

    Thanks for the dump file Hilton

    The shutdown was caused by a McAfee driver. I don’t recommend McAfee because it’s not very good and is a hog of resources. I prefer Avast for free anti-virus

    I recommend you uninstall McAfee using the McAfee removal tool, reboot, and install Avast in its place If you have issues, please let us know. We’re here to help

      WOW..ok..have money in McAfee but if that is what it takes I will do it.
      I take it that I have to uninstall McAfee first then install Avast ?

        Yes that’s correct and use the McAfee removal tool Jmarket linked to above.

            I am sorry,but thought I had let you know no more shut downs..installed Avast like you suggested..
            I am thinking about switching to Mozilla..I tried Crome a long time ago and had problems..and have had IE for so long it is like an old shoe..
