updates

Hi All, just a quick update
I have done a re install via the recovery program, all so far seems to have gone ok
Updates (not many) have installed, including sp1, there are probably alot more to install, but brain dead at this time, so a good slurp req
updated antivirus, transferred some of her files back, music pics etc etc
I would request that the thread stay open, for a few more days, until she visits on friday, so i can check with her that all is done to her satisfaction
Thanks to you all, could not and would not have done it without your expertise(y)

Me again, Everything seems ok with reinstall, some updates including sp1 downloaded and installed, however, whilst trying to check for further updates,
it will not pass the screen that says checking for them, been stuck for hours like this, is there something i am missing
even the windows update agent tool has been installed, so i am baffled.
As of now, i feel deflated, success, now failure again, i think i will need more than 1 slurp after work tonight, why are computers so much hastle

Depending on the amount of updates that it has to load it may take it a bit of time to load the information.

been stuck for hours like this

How many I once let one run for 12 hours before it had all of the list complied.

Some times letting it run over day/night will allow it time to complete.

Hi ALL, Thanks to your dedication, in helping others, i can finally say i have achieved, my objective.(y)
All updates have finally installed, all the files she required are back, and this little machine is flying again.
