    Live.com

    Hi,

I have sent emails before to individuals and have then copied that email but then changed the address. ie sending my CV to various employment agencies.

I now want to create a group to send to all these people (not all are added as contacts), and to also ensure they cannot see each other.

    To summarise

1 - Add people as contacts by emails I’ve sent them previously,
    2 - Create a group
3 - Ensure everybody in that group cannot see each other,

Hi Simon and Welcome to PCHF

You can do what’s known as a BCC (Blind Carbon Copy), which means recipients won’t be able to see each other.

Thanks I’m aware of using this if I’m copying someone else in the email, but I guess what I want is like a private mailing list or distribution list.

So what I want to do is to send my CV and covering email to various agencies on 1 email.

Some email software required you to put some one in the To: section. This is where I would suggest putting on your email address.

I found this link that describes what you’re trying to do, with this link showing how to create a list. It’s for Outlook software though, but maybe it’ll help you?

Agree with Rustys, we need to know what email client your using, but it should be possible to do what you need.
