As a test remove Norton with GeekUninstaller
Create new Admin User, test under that account and see how things go.

Did you ever get to checking the dust build up in the case?
It’s been a couple of weeks now, is the every day shutdown still happening?

Regarding points in post #4, what hasn’t been done from those?

Still happens every day. It will happen at the same time two days in a row, then it will be about 4 or 5 minutes later for the next two days and so on. If I dont have the PC on at that time, it will happen about an hour after I log on, then return to the same patter of two days at the same time, next two days a little later.

Dust inside is fine, I clean my system regularly.

I’ve completed all steps that have been suggested so far, except for the post that came in today. I’ll try removing Norton today. Interestingly, before this started I got an unusual notification from Norton about reaching my limit on licenses for devices. I only have one device and only one licence and have never seem that pop up before. The first shutdown came shortly after that.

            OOoooooohhhh.
25 minutes past yesterdays shut down time and no shut down.
Looking good - seems norton may have been the issue.

Sweet! We will leave the thread open for a couple more days to see if there are more shutdowns. (y)
