Pc keeps hanging at motherboard logo after win 10 update.

    Motherboard; MSI
    Windows 10

I scheduled an update for my windows 10 pc during the night. But the next morning, it would keep hanging at the motherboard logo screen. The wheel keeps spinning , as if it is loading. Restarting the pc wont fix it, and switching off , unplugging power of the pc neither. only the motherboard logo and spinning wheel again, with an occasional reboot it shows this message; β€˜preparing automatic recovery’ , but it keeps stuck. No blinking loading lights. it won’t load to the windows logo screen at all. I managed to get into the motherboard settings, and check the boot order. The device with ’ windows boot manager ’ seems to be the first device. Which I assume should be correct. What should I try next?

I’m not that skilled with hardware, so i would like to know if there are any software or bios settings that i could try first. or try to repair windows, without deleting any files on the HDD.

Power on at the logo power off straight away.
Do this 3-5 times and it should force a reboot to safe mode.

If you have data you need to get off the hdd we can do that with a Linux distro - I have instructions if we need to do that.

If you can reach the troubleshoot menu (force restart 3 times) then you can see if safe mode works, if not then see if you can roll back the update or use last known good configuration.
