I was able to delete that driver and I can plug in my dongle without my PC crashing, though no networks show up in the available networks tab in the taskbar. I installed DDU as well, how would I go about fixing that driver? Clean and restart button at the top?

Yes, I will install that driver. What confuses me about this is Iβve never installed drivers that come with dongles before and they always seemed to work fine.Comment

Open Device Manager:
Hit windows key:

Right click run as admin.
Under network adapters
Right click the wireless adapter.
Properties:
Advanced:
Switch between modes.
Check connection.
Also check the preffered band settings- =Switch and check if options are available

I canβt right-click on the wireless adaptor device cause it needs to be plugged in to see it in device manager and my PC crashes when I plug in the adaptor.
PC still crashes in another userβs account, as well.Comment

It is for certain the Driver causing the issues, once you deleted it then the system was stable.
Letβs see if we can get windows to install a generic driver for it.
Reboot into safe mode with the usb connected.
Open device manager and right click and uninstall the driver.
Reboot to normal mode with it still attached to the system.
If we are lucky windows will install a generic driver that works correctly.
I think you might just need to get a different brand of wireless adapter if this does not work, maybe you can take it back and tell them it does not work.Comment
