I have a Dell Latitude 5400. When I start the laptop up itโll get to the Dell Logo screen (sometimes you can see the spinning dots below it) but after that it goes black. Itโll let me access the boot menu and BIOS non startup though. But it wonโt get past the Dell Logo. It just goes black. Any suggestions on resolving this?
Sounds like it might be having trouble accessing the hard drive.
Is it ChromeOS or Windows?
Have you tried booting from a USB stick with a Linux distro on it and seeing if you can access your drive?
