Microphone connects but either no sound or super low sound

So I have a microphone(that works) that conencts to my pc but there is either no sound(most pf the time) or the sound is very low. Same thing with any microphone I used, except airpods pro microphone which worked

The next time you connect the the microphone to the pc , do a slight twist when it is in the port and see if that works..

What is the make/model of the mic?

Have you tried boosting the level of the mic?
Go into Control Panel (view by small icons) > Sound > Recording tab > click your microphone > Properties > Levels tab.
Try sliding the bar to the right and seeing if that helps.
