    Ethernet IP address in browser.

Hi. Im attempting to access a IFM HMI display via ethernet by entering its IP address into a browser. Have gone into network and sharing to set the IP address.
Ive entered IP address into the browser followed by :8080. No joy. Please advise.

Are you connecting through a router or switch or via a cable connected to the device and computer.
Your computer and the device have to be in the same range.
What is the ip of the device.
      What is your ip address.
On your computer click on start>Type in cmd>Click on te command prompt.
Copy and paste the next line and press enter.
      ipconfig /all
You are looking for IPv4 Normally 192.16.8.***.*** or 10.0.0.***
