Win 10 freezes or crashes seemingly random

It had a bluescreen this time and gave the following message

Are you running an Insider build of Windows or release build?
Are all drivers up to date?
Is the BIOS the latest version?
Are the games running with the nVidia graphics or the inbuilt graphics? If the pc only has nVidia then that’s fine.
I would use DDU to cleanly remove the graphics driver then install a fresh version - I’d download the correct driver beforehand though.

where can I see which windows build I’m using?
and how do I check for driver and bios updates?

I only have nVidia graphics.

I’ll now remove the graphics driver with ddu and install a fresh version

BIOS usually from the PC or Motherboard manufacturer - preferably from the pc manufacturer.
Drivers from the specific device’s manufacturer.

the pc is self-build so I’ll use the motherboard manufacturer.
Besides bios, gpu and cpu, is there any other driver I’d have to check?

I’m also doing abackup first, so I will continue with the driver updates and reinstallation afterwards

I reinstalled the graphics driver, updated the cpu and bios and I’ll now check if it still crashes/ bluescreens.

It crashed again (without bluescreen) and the following error in the event viewer

An unexpected restart could indicate power problem. Does the power jack fit into the socket tightly or is it loose?

Holy guacamole.
I just lightly touched the plug and it restarted. I think my master-slave powerboard is broken. I now switched to a normal, smaller powerboard.
Touching the plugs doesn’t do anything, so next I’ll test it with No mans sky again. But this might’ve very well fixed it (fingers crossed).

Is the power supply now fitting ok?

yes it is. (I think - there are no issues when touching the plugs)

I just ran the windows memory diagnostics tool, to see if there’s an issue with my ram, but it came back without any errors.

Two things I’m currently thinking about trying are 1. unplugging and testing every ram stick, and 2. trying to test the power supply with a multimeter (if my vather has one around).

Would checking the ram and the power supply of any use in this case?
