Somehow, the clean install of Windows 10 completed just fine. Thank for all your time in guiding me to this point. And thanks for keeping open this help connection,
Am installing Finalev27. Weβll see if it works normally now.
Oh, a question. I unpacked and set up this ACER over a year after it arrived. I wanted to use it only for work programs to stay offline. But Windows updates were installed. But I would uninstall the ones that could be uninstalled. Could this have affected the PC performance?
Also, any suggestions on how to use a PC strictly offline. I guess I still have to accept updates?
Thanks again.Comment

All we need to do is check the device manager for any missing drivers.
Then just turn wi fi off and do not plug in a network cable.
It does not need to be updated once all drivers are installed.
Click on search and type in Device manager.
Open device manager
Do you see any Yello exclamation marks or red crosses.Comment

No yellow exclamation marks or red crosses. And I expanded everything there.
In the beginning when I started using this PC, I could not figure out a way to block windows updates and just use the PC online. When I went to shutdown, there were little flags attached to βshutdownβ and when I shut down, the updates would install before the PC shut down. I was not online! How do the bastards sneak in their updates?
Iβd like to use my new PC (still boxed till I get this one going) strictly offline for music work.
Thanks again.Comment

P.S.: After setting up the new PC, would it be OK to work offline only by simply disconnecting the internet?Comment

Wait, wait, wait! I checked again. βOther Devicesββyes, every item in there has the exclamation and says drivers are not installed.Comment
