Problems with refresh rate when playing something

Hey everyone! So recently I bought a new desktop, and ever since, whenever I try to play a video game, or play my project in unreal engine, something kinda odd happens. It seems like it’s related to the refresh rate of my monitor but everything outside anything that is not a game is working properly. I tried with not epic games related games and they seem fine but it was also hard to tell. I tried fortnite and unreal engine and they both do this, which after a bit starts becoming tiring. It’s also not a drivers problem since everything is updated. Any idea how I can fix this? (this is a screenshot of a video i made. The video was too big so that’s the best i could do. Hope you guet what I mean with that screenshot)

    Hello,

I want to make sure I understand the problem correctly. Are you saying that for ONLY games that connect through the Epic Games Launcher is having a problem, where software outside of the game is not working, like when you hit alt-tab? What software is in the background? Do they freeze or do they crash? I’m not sure what I am really looking at through the screenshot. You’ll need to be more specific and/or use an online storage site that can share video links.

    Are you using mods?

    Thank you
