'This folder is empty , but files present. HD does not show

Hello guys.

This PC is HP 8000 Elite SFF, W10.

Takes a good while to open., Desktop shows, ‘This folder is empty’, but files are there.

When I connect my WD External HD it does not show in, ‘This PC’.

I have stopped using it so as not exacerbate its present state.

Create a new admin user on your computer and see if the issue persist.
