Generic PnP monitor Resolution lock

Using a GL2450 BenQ monitor for months now with no issues. suddenly today after doing a driver update it locked to a low resolution. I have tried rolling back restarting checking for updates and uninstalling and reinstalling PnP drivers. with other monitors, there is no issue and if I start the pc with another monitor and switch it over it works but as soon as restarted the issue happens again. any ideas on what I can do? thanks.

    See if using DDU helps.

Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) Official - Remove AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL Graphics Drivers Cleanly - DDU is a driver removal utility that helps you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, leaving no leftovers behind, including registry keys, folders, files, and driver store.

Make sure to Download the driver that was installed before the updated one that you installed.

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
