I can surf the internet, but i cant connect to game servers.

Ive tried DNS flush, ipconfig renew, turning of both VPN and firewalls, restarting router, using another wifi, updating drivers but none of those things made it work again. I have even formatted my windows. Its now saying “No internet connection”.

I cant access my router to do port farward since im not the owner, but no one else have the same problem, and i live with 22 other people.

My windows 10 MSI laptop started disconnecting and reconnecting yesterday, now i can surf the net but not connect to ANY game servers.

I’ve encountered this problem a long time ago, where an app “Overlay” messed with the wifi, i uninstalled the app, restarted my laptop and it worked.
It does work when i use hotspot on my phone, but i dont have enough GB data for it to be a usefull fix in the long run.

This time i have no idea what have gone wrong.

Seeing a lot of driver issues with the WiFi Card. Remove the current and reinstall see it that helps and maybe try an older version.

Where are you getting the driver from?

Make and model of the computer?

Let’s see if a clean boot affects this in any way.

If the same happens let’s attempt a reset of the affected system network settings.

Reset the network on the system see if that clears it up.

Let’s try this then you can do one or the other both accomplish the same.

Go into Setting
Select Network and Internet
Make sure you are under Status in the left
On the Right scroll down and select Network Reset
Read the information and then select Reset Now
Select Yes for the network to be reset and the system to reboot.
The rest before the system reboots may take a few minutes

How to reset via Command Prompt
Open an Administrator Command Prompt
type (Copy and Paste) the following Commands and press Enter

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int reset all
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh int ipv6 reset
netsh int ipv4 reset
netsh winsock reset catalog

Reboot your computer and see if that helps at all.

I did the clean boot and the CMD commands. The “netsh int reset all” command was not recognised though.
Unfortunately it didnt work.

About drivers, i go to Device manager, locate the driver and click update. I do not know how to downgrade them

I used the driver installer from intels website, and it looks like it works now. Just went into a game and played a round without any problems.

That is why you NEVER EVER trust any program to update drivers whatsoever and ONLY get them for the computer manufacture if it is a prebuilt and or the maker’s manufacture.
