Trying to backup files from hard drive that Windows cant read.
Iβd like some help on how to backup my files from a hard drive that can be detected by windows.
This red arrow on disk management shows up and I cant initialize disk, an error about βI/O device errorβ shows up.
Iβve come to the conclusion that maybe the hdd is dead and I want to save the files in the drive.
I hope anyone can help me with this.
@Riiie - you logged in yesterday but didnβt update the thread - do you still need help?
Just tried this, sadly the app does not detect the hard drive.

another thing that you can attempt is use a live version of Linux,
Is this an internal or external drive?
And I have to be honest I got kinda lazy in trying to restore the files in it by trying the linux fix, + I donβt know how to.
I donβt think Iβll be trying to restore the files back, nothing important in it thatβs not uploaded in the cloud anyways.
Thank you very much, you guys have been a great help.
