Booting problem

My pc won’t boot up. When booting up it just keeps rebooting constantly. I have tried the f8 menu to repair it but it just reboots itself instead. I even tried entering safe mode and it still wouldn’t boot.

I had a booting problem before. I had to fix the registry. You should be able to use another computer to make a usb boot drive. I got mine from the manufacture’s website. Before all that it may be worth taking the battery out and holding the power button for a second then replace and try to start up. Hope one of these work for you.

Battery? If you mean the power supply, I’m not sure how to get to it. It seems like I would have to take the whole pc apart to get to that particular spot and I don’t know if I could do that without breaking something

You have a small battery inside your pc. Much easier to get to with a desktop than a laptop. It doesn’t sound like that’s going to be an option for you. I would go with making a boot drive from the manufacturer. All the instructions needed should be there when you find it on their site.

I believe @DVerdier is referring to the CMOS battery.

If your machine is not booting, have you tried to re seat all the hardware components? While you are in there make sure everything is connect snug. Might not hurt to replace the CMOS battery as well.

I was referring to that. Based on the response, I decided that might be a bit much for the person with the problem. While removing the battery and holding the power button might do the trick, I think a boot drive might be a little easier for him or her. There hasn’t been anything else said. I’m kind of curious myself. Hopefully its back up and running
