Help putting new win 10 on my C: (SSD) total novice :-(

I’ve had my pc for a few years.
And wanting to put a fresh windows 10 on my C: (think it’s SSD)
All I know is my D: drive that I but most of data on and bootlocker E: wants to saved.
Hope this photo is good enough for yous to see, and of course what I trying to ask lol.
I have a win 10 already in a USB flash drive.
Any visual links to help me be great.
If you can see the photo I’ll have to wait til I get on the pc instead of mobile.
    Thank you so much

      Thank you so much.
      Really appreciate.
Just thinking things through for a β€˜dry’ run so to speak.
Been years doing this, so in the Instalation will ask what drive I want to use?
      Thanks again.

Then download the windows 10 tool – Minimum 8gig USB required

        Download Windows 10

and use that to reinstall windows.

        Have only one drive connected

*** NB A reinstall will delete all data from the drive***

If doing an upgrade to a new install you need a product key from Win 7 or 8.

Here is an excellent youtube video on how to install win 10 from usb

How To Install Windows 10 From USB - YouTube

When the computer rebbots on the install remove the USB whilst it is rebooting otherwise you can end up in a loop

Before doing any install, it is a good idea to go to the support page for your system. Download the drivers you are going to need ie chipset, sound, video, wireless, etc. While win10 has a lot of native drivers, microsoft drivers are designed for ease of use and are NOT designed for any type of performance. Store these drivers on another usb or you can even just make a folder on your install usb when you are finished making the install usb. Copy the drivers into that folder.

When you are finished with the install, then install your drivers. Install the chipset first then the rest of them. Reboot each time when prompted.

No need to use Rufus You are craeting another fail point
Use the tool made by Microsoft tp load Microsoft.
            Unplug any other drives
You should only have one drive connected when installing windows

Got a sting in the tail for this build
One of the terminals (gold) in HHD is damaged so I had to buy female to male adaptor. So down tools atm.
But give me time to look at other projects. Upgrade RAM first on my old notebook, then get a BX500 SSD.

Thanks so much. I was nearly there. Using flash drive method (not Rufus) so close but so far lol.

                      Morning Bruce.
                      Thanks for replying.?
I got the win10 on flash drive great ! No faffing on with Rufis or any other mirlsrky.
But alas it come to a point from Freeman Morgan β€œit was at that point he knew he fluffed up”
                      Why?
For all taking off data cables wasn’t an issue, it was getting them put in (tight place and only one arm fictioning due to illness.
So I had to buy parts to fix one of my drives.
So guys and girls I could take the rig to a pc shop and hope they can refit the drives, then when home carry on with install.
But the way ahead now is full clean up of rig, and take stock of my system.
I got plenty of Ram (16GB)
                      Water cooled is still great.
                      Mother board ok.
But a new RTX card is shouting out to me..
I’m replying on mobile atm, and just upgraded our laptop as it’ll be my editing & photo editing.
Do the the plan is taking the rig all the way up Scotland to my pal that always build my rigs and let him sort my mess.! ???and hope new graphic card (9th June estimated )
I can’t see any probs in the SSD. But never say never to change it lol.
As you could imagine the build was custom.
For all I like the water cooled it is a big rig.
So maybe going back to fan assisted and in a smaller rig.
                      It happens everyone I visited.
Within hours I have a new rig, and parts left ova (case etc) repurposed to another rig for one of my pals, or a test rig trying out new or faulty parts.
                      A novel here lol.
Getting ova Covid that made GROUND HOG DAY!
I might aswell take photos of the rig.
For all the case is massive hehe! It’s served me well.
Hope you all have a safe weekend.
I’m itching to get the neg. Test so I could at least drive to get my breakfast.
And research on what graphics card I fancy…

so is the plan of attack now to get a smaller, fan cooled case, and transfer components over?
some of those pics indicate a lot of dust.
I’d at least pull it all apart and clean everything, even re-assembling it on a bench on a piece of cardboard, while you trail out things.

have you managed to install Win10 on the SSD?

As you message. A total clean up.
There’ll be a option to take the rig to my pal (that built my pc’s)
                            Going back to fan cooled.
As you know the price for a new graphic card is crazy money.
                            I’ll hold out on this.
Around 9th June is estimated to get it sorted.
I did managed to get the Win 10 OS on a flash drive.
In the mean time. Another project is look at my lasses G56 HP laptop for better Ram and then SSD drive. Purely for photo and video editing (TBC)

                              Morning.
A quick question for you’s please.
What section should i place a thread for Laptop ?
Laptop support or Windows 10? As most of my questions are suggestions to upgrade RAM & hope SSD.
                              Its a HP G56 Laptop.
                              Thank you so much.
                              Bri.
