    In addition to what Bruce advises;

    Performance of this computer will be poor as it only has the one stick of RAM meaning that it can only work at circa 1600MHz and Ryzen CPUs really don`t like slow RAM, merchants that advertise the RAM as being 3200MHz should be made to use two sticks of RAM so that dual channel can be enabled and the RAM run at 3200MHz.

            But everything in fullscreen like games is ok with 1 drive.
            Sorry for asking what seem repeat questions
            Just trying to get my head around it.
            It is not making much sense.
            Check advanced display settings
            Are you set to 60Mhz

                        OP logged on yesterday but has not provided responses to all the unanswered questions and suggestions.

                        like has the BIOS update been done?
                        has a fresh install onto the original drive happened, while the new HDD was disconnect?
                        what about a screenshot of within the case showing the two drives and their cabling?

                        and this new info about fullscreen mode.
                        does the screen resolution problem occur simply by connecting the 2nd HDD when just using the PC normally, that is, Word, emails, web browser etc?
                        or is it only in games (with 2nd drive connected) that the resolution issue is happening?

                          From what I can gather:
                          PC fine when SSD containing Windows is the only drive connected. When both drives connected the resolution has dropped.
                          Is there any OS installed on the HDD? If no then is there anything on the drive or is it blank?
                          As others have asked have you updated the BIOS?

                            You are kind enough as are all helpers that give their time for free trying to help others, if an OP is not prepared to supply any or all information that has been asked from them their thread should be closed so that helpers time is freed up to help the more deserving that appreciate it.
