Unusual problems, startup programs not working right, etc.

So this is a weird one. I was wanting to boot up Fortnite on my Windows 10 machine, and I got an error 30004, which as I understand it is an anti cheat issue caused by issues in Windows. So I googled fixes and the first one I tried was to run command prompt as Admin and do the sfc /scannow command to try to fix any issues. It ran successfully, apparently found issues and apparently fixed them. Fortnite wasn’t working so I rebooted and this is where **** went sideways.

I have Discord and the Xbox app setup to start on bootup, and upon restart neither automatically booted up. Which I thought was weird. I tried to open Discord manually, and while it shows up in task manager it never shows up. The same with the Xbox app. I rebooted, no change, but the PC is slower and more sluggish, and now my audio devices are all disabled. I can’t seem to change them back on. I tried to play around in command prompt again, but now I can’t right click it to launch it as admin. This is starting to smell like a hardcore virus, so I ran Avast and Malwarebytes and even Windows anti virus but I can’t find anything sinister. I tried a System Restore to a few days ago on my C drive where my OS is installed(Fortnite is on my D drive) and that seems to have just made things even worse.

I’m currently trying to run some more antivirus programs and if that doesn’t work I guess I’ll try a restore on the other drive or both drives… Basically I’m asking what the heck does this sound like? Is it hardware failure like a bad motherboard, a virus? I’ve never had anything quite like this before.

EDIT: I woke up this morning with admin rights again after doing a system restore to two days ago.

Not the best thing to do you can end up crippling your system running more than one active AV.

Since this was done is the system still running correctly?

From the sounds of it may have been a software issue that has been corrected by rolling the system back.

Are you still experiencing any issues?
