In the process of doing this, I was able to uninstall Mozilla Maintenance Service, but nothing shows up under ASUS Update Helper when using Geek Uninstaller.

I see ASUS Framework service and ASUS Motherboard, but nothing else?

Now I’d Suggest you use display driver uninstaller

Then grab the latest Nvidia Driver from here.

I’m not positive, I put it to sleep once and it was okay?

If I can have a day to put it to sleep for varying amounts of time I can get you a more solid answer.

Going forward on this: it worked for several short sleeps of less than a couple hours, but after a night off (roughly 10-12 hours) the same issue presented itself.

If I understand what we did before this, that was looking for an erroneous program/drivers that might be causing this, is it possible it is a Windows issue? Perhaps an issue with Windows 10 itself? I have ran sfc /scannow and the health check with DISM, both of them come back clean.

I have been contemplating a full-system reset since it has been a couple years since my initial install, maybe this would be a good solution in the coming months?

First I’d Clean the machine with compressed air and re seat all of the components. This is what I would do if it were my machine prior to a reinstall.

But surely doing a complete reinstall would allow you to see if it was indeed a windows issue. If/when you reinstall. I’d not install too many programs the first day and let it sleep over night to verify.

                          There are other options.

                          Repair install windows 10
Windows all in one repair tool. Suggested running in safe mode with the help of this tool, which allows you to run the program with the highest elevation.
                          Like new PC

I’ll leave this thread open if you wish to try and re-seat or one of the other options.

I wouldn’t think it would be a dust issue, I dust it quite frequently with one of those ESD-Safe Electric dusters, I could certainly try that again though.

I have been thinking about the Windows repair tool, but that does beg the question, is it Windows?
At this point the only real β€˜troubleshooting’ step I am sure would tell me, is a complete reinstall, but I do not have the luxury of doing that right now.
Furthermore, it could be an app and I would be none the wiser since a complete wipe is in fact, a complete wipe (haha!)

I am more trying to get you to re-seat the components. And dusting is a bonus. I have seen the all in one tool fix certain issues and it be seen it do nothing .

You are correct a fresh install would confirm hardware or software.

Sorry for the short reply, doing this from my phone.

Not a problem at all, I appreciate you working so hard on this with me.

                                Update:

After another night off, the issue presented itself from a hard-start. I pressed the power button on the case, then - click - power off. After pressing it again everything started up as expected, does this tell you anything?

I have suspected the PSU a bit, but I am hesitant to pull the trigger on anything that would disable my computer like that. (It’s a Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum, a 750w 80+ platinum psu I purchased right around 3 years ago)

I will attempt to reseat the components here, Short of pulling the CPU and cooler assembly, I can reseat the GPU, and check any connections for my PSU/Hard drives/motherboard (it is a modular unit).

The ram is stuck behind the cooler, I would prefer to leave that be if possible, but if you think I should pull it I will.
