    Cannot Open Word File

    Hello,

    I have been getting this message, โ€˜The file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contentsโ€™.

    Machine is, HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF: Office 2007.

    Can anyone assist me with this, please?.

      are you certain it is a Word document?
      had it been working before?
      where does the Word doc live: cloud, USB, hard drive, network share?
      who created it and has it always been on your PC with Office2007?
      have you tried taking the Word doc to another PC and trying it there?
