Have you checked for further Windows updates?

Is the Linux USB plugged in when you check?

Often laptops have a one-time boot key, this may be F2 or F7 or F8 or F12. When you see the Acer logo rapidly click one of these keys to see if it reaches the boot manager.

That machine has F2 to reach the temporary boot. Insert the USB drive, restart the laptop & then rapidly click F2.

You may have to use the temporary boot like @Bastet has stated.

      https://www.intel.com/content/dam/su...-Platforms.pdf

You may have to look and see if there is anything special you may need to do to create the drive where it will boot to the new UEFI.
