How to hide/remove the user panel?

Hello, while it isn’t of any real importance it does annoy me. Look at the attached picture. The settings home page displays this big ugly user panel for no good reason. How can I remove it or hide it? Annotation-2021-07-30-221648 hosted at ImgBB β€” ImgBB

g’day Adrelis and welcome to the forums.

the banner on the Settings page does not appear for all users, all the time. for example, I don’t see it.
it may only show when logged in using a MS account, like you are, and like I don’t. so, try logging out from your MS account and seeing what changes. I also run O&O ShutUp10 which turns a lot of crap off, so give that a spin.

the only time I see that banner is on new installs. I did a PC at work this week and it was there, then goes after all the updates and a few reboots are under the belt. so it may just take a few days for it to go.
any chance you have just built the PC or installed Windows Updates.?

Google is showing the mach2 or vive tools to disable it but I would not recommend these unless the banner is really ticking you off.
personally, I’d learn to live with it - like most things MS.

bring up the Run windoiws (Windows key + R) and type in winver and post a screenshot of that window.
that will give us your OS and Build number.

Thank you good sir for the reply. Indeed I just got this PC set up today, and everyhting is fresh. After going through some settings that banner was the only thing really out of place.
      Thanks again for the response.

The fix for me was simply logging off my MS account. Because the banner did not go away on its own after waiting a few days. But after logging off and a reboot it was gone for good.
Thank you for the help solving this.
