    Incorrect resolution options for display

I recently had to pull the gpu out of my pc due to it crapping out and now im running off just the motherboard. Since, I havent been able to get the proper resolution for the monitor i use (1366x768). Ive looked at countless videos, forums, web pages, and none of them fix the issue. Any ideas on what to do?

    Specs:

    Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2
    ASUS VH197
    AMD HD8490 (removed)

Is it running on any other graphics card?
If yes then it might be using the Microsoft basic driver.

It isn’t. The only graphics card I have was the hd8490 and that no longer works

Then the pc is running the basic resolution it is designed for. You’ll not get anything higher unless you replace the graphics card.
What resolution is it running at?

currently 1152x864, but its all stretched out horizontally. I fixed this issue before I even got my video card, but I cant remember for the life of me how

Right click on the desktop and select Display Setting to set the resolution.
You might also see one that states graphic properties (may not appear until after the onboard drivers are installed).

Next thing I will suggest remove the installed software for the display card.

Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) Official - Remove AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL Graphics Drivers Cleanly - DDU is a driver removal utility that helps you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, leaving no leftovers behind, including registry keys, folders, files, and driver store.

Go to the motherboards manufacturer site and get the proper drivers for the onboard display.

Like @Bastet stated you maybe using the generic Microsoft one and they can be hit and or miss.
