    Pc Stuttering and audio lagging/robotic

    Pc Specs
    Gigabyte A320M-H Motherboard
    AMD Ryzen 5 2600
    Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB
    Gigabyte SSD 120GB BOOT DRIVE
    Seagate Barracuda 2TB
    Team-Elite-2400 TEAMGROUP-UD4-2400 16GB
    Windows 10

been having a random issue my pc will start to stutter and my audio will go robotic on youtube or anything playing a video or on discord ect it is a intermittent issue so trying to get it to do it its hit and miss and nothing seems to start it

ive had the pc just over 3 years from new always kept it clean and dusted ect also applied new paste to gpu and cpu about 4 months ago

ive done all the normal stuff driver updates, virus scans malware scans i downloaded whysoslow and latency monitor and reinstalled windows 3 times

latency monitor and whysoslow dont really give me much info apart from saying highest reported dpc routine execution time for storport.sys is all the way into the red on latencymon

ive never had this issue on this pc before and im out of ideas before taking it to the shop

    thanks kollii

additional info its now started doing it again and i get

Your system seems to be having difficulty handling real-time audio and other tasks. You may experience drop outs, clicks or pops due to buffer underruns. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.

You have not provided the most important of all specs the PSU, what is the brand and model name or number of it.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Can you not post stuff that is not asked for it only causes clutter.

Not a good brand of PSU and most likely out of warranty so could be heating up internally which would cause the sort of behaviour that you describe.

        Things we can see in Speccy;

You have high temps and high memory usage.

There are no chipset drivers for the MB shown to have been installed, as soon as Windows has been installed you must install the latest chipset drivers for the MB as the chipset is what enables the board to be able to communicate with all the other hardware, after the chipset drivers you install the storage/SATA drivers and then the GPU drivers.

Please note that chipset drivers for new MBs must be installed from either the installation disk that shipped with the MB or direct from the MBs download centre, if you do not do this Windows update may download and install the wrong drivers and cause you no end of trouble.

so the temps and memory use was because i had a game running in the background trying to replicate the error to give more info

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/p...VKrKxJFTGEImxw thats idle with driver updates running

The below was your problem, it was self created, you had already been advised in my reply #4 that you had not installed the correct drivers and we didn`t need Latency Mon to tell us that, Latency Mon btw is only intended for and used by people that can understand it.

              Driver Booster Scheduler
              Driver Booster SkipUAC (Jordo)
              Driver Booster Update

Once Windows has been installed, you install the necessary drivers for the MB and other hardware and then leave well alone, drivers should not be allowed to auto update and you should never update any driver/s unless the new drivers are intended to resolve a specific issue that you are having, installing new drivers unnecessarily can actually cause you the very issues that any new drivers are intended to resolve and uninstalling the new drivers may not resolve the problem/s that installing the new drivers has caused.

Depending on priority it can take many months before the driver provider releases any fix and depending on the age of the hardware or software concerned they sometimes do not even bother or may have already announced an end of support.

              Driver Booster

You will not see anything like this recommended on any reputable forum, they are at best a gimmick and at worse a danger to the operating systems registry, it is an old article but the author is still highly respected and tbh Ive not seen it explained better than at the miekiemoes’ Blog here
