    Iobit programs, pc freezes

    Hello,
I installed the iobit advanced care and iobit defrag 6 applications on my pc. after this the computer ran well but after a few days, it started to freeze and slowly start up. when my computer freezes, things will definitely freeze most of the time, sometimes everything. But for example windows bar, microsoft teams, google chrome, task manager, games, etc. It freezes in various ways, I don’t know what it could be. I disabled the IOBIT application from running in the background. My computer didn’t do it before, I don’t think it could be anything else but hard to say. But I also had these programs on an old computer and I have them on my laptop where they work normally. Please, give me an advice . I plan to uninstall both programs, I would just like to know if anyone had a similar problem.
    Thank you!

    my pc hardware:

    GigaByte B460 HD3

    Intel Core i3 10100

    DDR4 8GB

    GigaByte GeForce GTX 1650 D6 (4GB)

You will not see anything like this recommended on any reputable forum, they are at best a gimmick and at worse a danger to the operating systems registry, it is an old article but the author is still highly respected and tbh Ive not seen it explained better than at the miekiemoes’ Blog here

Did you download directly from iOBit or via an email you received offering free programs?
In any case a few weeks ago the iOBit forum was hacked & these programs offered for free but they contained malware. IObit forums hacked to spread ransomware to its members I would ensure malware isn’t the cause of your problems.
To be sure I would uninstall these programs & use system restore to go back to before they were installed. Hopefully you have a system image instead which you can use to roll back.

I have it from official website . I scanned the computer with a bitdefender and found nothing. So I hope there is no virus, I will uninstall the programs.
          Thank you!

I’d also scan with Malwarebytes & ensure scan for rootkits is enabled. Also AdwCleaner.

just to add my two cents…

while IOBit seems legit and all, all I can say is, from my experience, they are the best funded of the snake-oil peddlers.
while their products seem to do what they say, every PC I have seen it installed on have all gone pear-shaped quickly after the installation. coincidence? maybe.
