Unable to extend C: drive but can I move it?

[COLOR=rgb(250, 197, 28)]Problem: Unable to update Windows OS on C: drive due to lack of available space

[COLOR=rgb(250, 197, 28)]Solution: Move all data onto HDD E: drive, this drive with 1GB of available data is housed in the keyboard.

Can all data be moved onto E: drive (the detachable keyboard) which will enable more programs to be installed and the Windows OS to be updated?

This type of computer should be banned from installing Windows until they ship them with a bigger boot drive and no less than a 256GB device.

In answer to your question, you can move the data from C: to E: but forego installing anything other than Windows updates to C: as it just is not big enough.

Thanks for the reply: but I have no idea how to move all data to E drive and leave only Windows updates to install on C drive?

Sorry but you never asked “how to” only if you could and being that you went to such great lengths with your OP and post #2 it didn`t look like you needed help with the task and were only seeking a second opinion.

Move the data from the C: partition to the E: drive.

Double and triple check that your data has been safely moved from C: to E:

Delete anything on the C: partition that is not related to Windows, Windows Defender and the HP drivers.

No need to purchase anything to do this just use one of the many free guides that are available, an example one here
