    Advapi32.dll issue, nothing works.

Hopefully this is the right place, currently my PC is having issue ever since this morning with the aforementioned DLL file. I realised that some executables simply donโ€™t work (League of legends, Discord, SOny vegas pro) and they throw up this error, Iโ€™ve checked system 32 and tried to replace the file in there but I donโ€™t have permission (seems there is an advapi32.dll inside the system32 folder but it says there cant be any found).

Iโ€™ve tried downloading and using the windows media installer however that doesnโ€™t work since when I try and execute the installation is states that the advapi32.dll is missing.

Iโ€™ve tried to also run a system scan with the command promp and it does tell me there are some registry files that are corrupt but it couldnโ€™t be repaired. I ran a restore health scan using the command prompt and it gave me a WOF 4448 error. Iโ€™ve tried hard resetting my PC and the error persists, is there any solution?

    Windows 10 Operating system.
    Windows 2004, OS build 19041.685

    Any help will be appreciated.

If you have not been anywhere near the registry at all it is possible that you may have downloaded something that has modified it

Try upgrading to version 20H2 here

If the above does not work based on what you have tried already your only other option is a clean install

Thanks for the response, unfortunately now my pc has lost connection to the internet and doesnt identify the wifi, and even then It wouldnโ€™t run an executable. I may need to try a fresh install then.

Try an Ethernet connection and temporarily disabling your AV and Firewall.

        You are welcome btw
