Windows 10 Black screen on startup sometimes

Hey there I have had an issue with my PC that is intermittent pretty much since i built it and I’ve just been living with it but would like to know if anyone could help.
So on startup there are 4 possible scenarios that i get:
    1. PC starts up and boots into windows in ~10s and everything works fine.
    2. PC starts up and boots into windows anywhere from 10s - 1min. But when in windows it loses video connection on all monitors and then comes back immediately with like a half and half blocking of the screen in two tone grey or with like a bunch of random grey shaded pixels. this repeats every minute or so until i restart.
    3. PC starts up i see the motherboard logo (overlayed over windows logo) and my peripherals light up but the screen on all monitors is just black and stays that way.
    4. PC starts, peripherals light up but nothing shows just black screen.

Now scenario 2-4 i have just been fixing by restarting my PC and then it takes about a minute and starts up normally into windows as expected.
This issue is more of an annoyance than an actual breaking issue as far as i know but id still like to know what is up. Thanks for any help or insight you can provide

    Hardware:
    Ryzen 3600
    G.Skill 3200Mhz 16gb
    EVGA Gtx 1080 Ti FTW3
    Gigabyte G750H 750W 80+ gold
    MSI B450 Tomohawk MAX
Crucial P1 1tb NVME boot drive ( has amazon heatsink on it )

When you see no picture at all is the hard drive light flashing/lit?
How are you connecting to a monitor - HDMI, DVI etc? Have you tried another cable?
Have you tried removing all but one monitor to see if it’s the multiple monitors which are causing the problem?
If you connect a boot USB does the PC β€˜come to life’?

My PC case does not have a HDD activity light so I have not tested that.
I am connected through DP on my primary and secondary monitors and HDMI on my third and all are blank.
I have tried removing all but the DP monitor and it had the same behavior. I have tried different cables as well.
I have not tried a boot usb yet but that might be a good one to try.

The reason I mentioned the USB is that I had a similar problem with blank screen on startup - no HDD light flashing, even a clean install didn’t help - but inserting my Macrium boot USB forced the laptop to continue booting.
This seems to have been fixed, whether by the 20H2 update or a new SSD I don’t know.
