what is the age of the system, or the hard drive to be particular?
assuming itβs not the drive failing, I would be getting Windows 10 image burnt to a bootable USB stick and doing a repair install.
use the Windows Media Creation Tool do create one.
or in the Advanced options in the repair menu, have you tried using Restore Points? -
These are networked Dell computers at the local free library. They are about 4 years old - but we have been fighting this trouble for over a year.I volunteer to help with their techβ¦so I am not making any money - just want to be up front! I have tried the repair install - that sometimes solves the issue for a few days!!!Comment

Sorry but Bruce is correct, while you may not work for financial gain there are still legal implications so hard as it may be at this time you will need to seek the help of a local tech.
