I bought 16gb ram today before I had 8gb. everything went well the computer started went into system information and got to see that I could only use 7.95gb ram but had 16gb installed I have tried to change with msconfig but nothing happens?
interesting, I was going to suggest the way the memory may have been installed onto the mobo, dual channel slots, and all that.
but your attachments show the PC has actually detected it has 16GB available, but indeed is only using 8GB.
your first screenshot shows 8GB is being reserved (bottom right corner) so Iβm think maybe the GPU is doing something in that area.
have you checked BIOS to see if memory is being pre-allocated somewhere/somehow?
is there any NVidia software that could be to blame?
