has it done this from day 1?
whatβs the most recent changes: windows updates, new software installed, extra hardware added?
if itβs only when on a site, maybe itβs browser based.
whatβs your browser? check for updates?
try starting it in safe mode, that is, with any extensions/add-ons disabled.
try another browser.
let us know how that goes. -
Hi Bruce yes it has did freeze up first day i got it, only a month old. It was originly Windows 10 in S mode. I scrapped the S mode i installed
Firefox Browser i will disable all add ons, i have No Squint Plus, U Block, DuckDuckGo. As far as updates i just download them all. I will try the safe mode. Like i say i only get random freeze when iam on a site. I can mess around on this computer all day without going on a site it will never freeze then. I even did a reset Windows 10 the same exact thing no luck. I never download or play any games. just downloaded basic things like Ccleaner, Speccy, Super Anti Spyware my antivirus is Windows Defender. I have read online SSD could cause freezing but i did all things according to what they say still nothing. It will freeze up so bad on a site i cant move mouse cursor and i wait still nothing i wind up having to do hard reset once i boot back up every thing is fine again. My skill level is about average on a computer, i just no the basics is all.

I have did Antivirus scan ( Windows Defender ) and ( Super Anti Spyware ) both show good . I dont go to any bad sites. Of course that means nothing at all. One can get malware on any sites. I go to local news sites, drag racing site ( Pinterest ) You Tube, just regular sites i went to many trying to find out about this random freeze. I have Virtual Box with Linux Mint 19.3 on there when i go to Virtual Box Linux Mint i can go to any site it wont random freeze never. Thank,s ChuckComment

In windows open an Admin Command prompt and copy and paste the following command
notepad C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Go into Windows Explorer and right click on the Drive that has Windows installed
Select Properties
Look for free space and let us know how much is availableComment

good find and fix.
while some of the services you have disabled would be nice to have still going, they are by no means mandatory, and this way, your PC is back to normal.
if you want to get to the actual culprit, you could enable one at a time until the issue repeats, then youβll know the service responsible and that should identify the program/company at fault.Comment
