Hi am super new to the pc scene, just finished my first ever build, and am having issues getting my hard drive to show up in disk management, but it shows up in device manager and BIOS
Any help would be greatly appreciated, not sure what info anyone would need from me to help, so if theres anything i need to add, please let me know
What OS are you using? Did you initialize the HDD?
I am using Windows 10 Home
And it doesnt show up in Disk Management to be initialized, it shows up in device manager under βhard disksβ but when i got to disk management its not there
Enable and Format the Drive in Disk Management
Open the Start menu and type βdisk management,β and press Enter when the Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions option appears. Once Disk Management loads, scroll down to see if your disk appears in the list. If it does, make sure itβs online and formatted.
It that does not work for you post a complete screen shot of Disk Management
Make and model of the new drive.
Was the drive new or used?
Where did the drive come from?
