    Playing media disables keyboard

Hey guys. I’ve had loads of hardware issues lately

Atm, my keyboard gets disabled when I play media sources. If I play a YouTube video, play a video on Facebook or even scroll by a video on Facebook, a Twitch stream, play a game, play music on Spotify, even when I open the β€œgeneral controller settings” window in Steam, the keyboard no longer works and I need to exit the media to get it working again.

Lets start with this so other can assist.

What is connected to the USB ports?

This does not include rthe power supply unit so you will need to post the make and model.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

You could also attempt a Clean Boot to see what is giving you the issues.

What is Clean Boot State in Windows? How to perform Clean Boot? What is the difference between Safe Mode and Clean Boot State? This article will tell you!

Ok so while I was looking at my USB ports I moved the ports around and things seem to be working now. Before you think I’m a complete idiot I did this yesterday but it didn’t fix it. Everything that was plugged in before is still plugged in now but it seems to be working

I can only thank you for prompting me to do it and apologise for wasting your time but not sure if the problem is fixed long term. Seems to be ok now though so Thank you.
