    Crackling Audio

    Hi All,

I recently moved and my PC was not hooked up for about a month and when i hooked it back up the audio makes a crackling noise when i am watching vids or playing games. it never happened before the move and i’m using 2 different head sets and both do the same thing.

I’ve tried updating the drivers, changing the drivers from realteks to windows default and changing the Hz setting and i’m not sure what else to do as those seem to be what everyone suggests but they don’t work for me.

    Any help please?

    Hello

What kind of ports does your audio use? Could take some can air and blow out that port, could be some dust in it..

I’m thinking some sort of electro-magnetic interference.
in the move - what has changed?, that is, how are the speaker cables running now as compared to how they used to be before the move.

the crackling noise, is it coming out of all devices - speakers, headsets?
try only having one audio playback device connected at a time.
