Startup Problems in Windows 10 Pro.

Hello, during a couple of days now i had some issues when powering up my computer.
When i log into windows it seems not to be able to start any of the “startup programs” resulting in a infinite loading cycle.
Soft rebooting the computer (via windows) only result in another infinite reboot cycle.
If i turn of the computer i the problem occurs again.
The only solution i got is to do a “Hard reset” (via reset button) and that seems to work for the time being.

Ok have you tried installing version 1909 to see if there is any difference in the issue?

          Are you overclocking any components?

No on the first question, idk how…

            No on the second question.

Due to much trail and error, i have narrowed it down to a network issue…

Now during Covid-19 i have been working from home a lot, sitting in multipel video meetings, i felt it better to unplug the network cable from my private computer and use it in my work computer, however when the work day comes to an end i changed it back. When i turn on the private computer the system wouldn’t startup correctly.

But if i do like this it works: Unplug network cable from work computer, Plug in to private computer, reboot the router, turn on the computer when the router have rebooted. TaaDaaaa everything works…

So now i don’t unplug my private computer, work computer works fine on WLAN…

Download and run the Media Creation Tool which will allow you to update your system to Windows 10 1909.

After the new version installs, let me know if there is any improvement.

                Hello…
So i got the problem now again… even though i didn’t fiddle with the network, but this time another issue arises, my network connection was lost, probably in windows since the Ethernet port sent and received data, the router sent and received data but windows just said i lacked internet…

My other units connected to that router had an stable internet connection.

You can do an in place upgrade and it will retain all of your data. Or backup your data first and then perform the upgrade. When you run the installer it will ask you what data you want to keep and select keep personal data, apps and settings and it will upgrade your system. Run the Media Creation Tool from within Windows and it should install with no issues.

The problem is that i am on a much higher version of windows 10 since i used to be a “previewer” so i am on version: 19564.rs_prerelease.200207-1438

so the only option i got is “wipe all apps and documents” in order to roll down to 1909
I assume that i need to do a backup then…

is it only “document & Settings” i need to backup???
