Recording Tab Freezes When Opened on Sound Settings

Hi, could someone help me troubleshoot this problem please. When I go to my Sound Settings and open the Recording tab it freezes. I’m ready to provide whatever information is needed. Recently I installed a Behrigner mixer but it’s been working fine for at least a day or two (I can’t quite remember).

Here is a speccy report of my computer.

Thanks

Edit: I updated to the latest version of Windows 10 since making the speccy report.

Welcome to PCHF GlassWizzard,

You have storage space problems and until they are resolved you will not only have issues but are also at risk of malware attack and data corruption see my canned info below;

Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #0, Partition #1
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 4A6E9028
Size: 58 GB
Used Space: 48 GB (82%)
Free Space: 10.5 GB (18%)

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update you need to have between 20 and 25% of the partition or drive available as free storage space at all times, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which puts you at risk of malware attack.

Data only storage devices should not be allowed to get any lower than 10% of free storage space of the full capacity of the drive/partition on the drive, this also to avoid data corruption.

Please note that storage devices can physically fail if the amount of free storage space is allowed to drop below the required 10 or 20/25% minimum.

Uninstall as many unused programs, games, videos and music files as you can and get yourself another means of backing up to, post back when you have between 20 and 25% free storage on the C: drive/partition and we can go from there.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, but freeing up space didn’t help.

Can you post a new Speccy url for us.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.
