    Help with slow PC.

    Hi,
My desktop is a Asus motherboard running on i3, I just recently upgraded the Ram from 2GB to 16GB. It went well, but suddenly there is this glitches and the PC shut down, it went on and of between seconds for eternity. I then reset the PC, it went ok for around 15 minutes. Then the glitches and on and off happens again.
I then discovered that there are a couple of dead dried lizards inside the power supply and the fan was stuck. I didnโ€™t open the power supply, but just pushed the lizard into it. The power work fine, but itโ€™s fan is whizzing all the time. I donโ€™t know if I reset the system wrong, but now the PC is damn slow. Slow to turn on and offโ€ฆ
Anything I can do to make it top notch like before?

First things firstโ€ฆdried lizards inside your power supply?

This is not only weird, but a big fire hazard as well. I would change the power supply ASAP.

It would be a good idea to test your RAM sticks. If you are using Windows 10, try using โ€œWindows Memory Diagnoticsโ€ included with Windows to test your RAM and report any error.

      Hi,

What is the make and model of your current power supply? Youโ€™ll need to replace the power supply ASAP as that is the reason why your computer is not running properly and was shutting down at random times.

Yup, I kinda figure out itโ€™s the power supply since it happens again just now when I run the diagnostic.
And, I think u call it gecko, right?

Yes if they are small lizards then geckoโ€™s are lizards.

Let us know if replacing the power supply solves the issue.

I just installed the power supply, everything runs smoothly. Should I run any test?
