    Black Screen after Boot-up

Recently my custom PC has had an issue of getting stuck on a black screen after startup. Specifically, the full-screen logo for MSI will appear, followed by a permanent black screen. I’m able to access my BIOS and boot setup selection just fine. However, selecting Windows Boot Manager (the only boot that works) results in the aforementioned black screen.

I very much hope my hard drive is not corrupted. Any suggestions or help is appreciated

    Relevant Specs:
Motherboard: MSI 970A Gaming Pro Carbon
    Processor: AMD Six-Core processor
    Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 970

If you need additional info let me know and I’d be glad to supply it.

Is there any hard drive activity - Is the HD light flashing/lit?
Try inserting a boot USB (Macrium or Windows installation media) & seeing if the boot continues.

      In addition to the above.

How many sticks of RAM do you have and have you tried reseating both the RAM and the GPU.

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

See if you are able to force the computer to start in the Windows Recovery Environment (RE) by starting up and shutting down the computer two or three times using the case power button, please note that you need to shut down the computer after the MBs splash screen and just before Windows attempts to load, if successful you should then continue to the Troubleshooting options and then hopefully be able to use a system restore point or Safe Mode etc.
