    You run any software on your computer as you see fit, we are only here to advise and nothing more (only a nag once in a while )

    There are other means of controlling the fans but XP is specific to your brand of GPU so stick with that rather than anything else, just stick with adjusting your fans and leave out the overclocking and you will be fine.

    The aforementioned test info is below;

    Use the free versions at the following two links.

    Stress test your GPU with Furmark

    Check your FPS with Valley

      Went through the benchmarks without a problem. Here are the results. I never really had a problem with crashes, even when i was messing with OC’ing a while ago. I stopped because I could never really understand the memory clock and realized the benefits were fractional. Is there a setting that may be enabling the current effects? I almost want to revert to a previous windows version.

      Thanks

          Well im happy to report all issues have stopped. Im not quite sure when it was resolved, but after all your steps and what looks like a recent windows update, the undesired behavior stopped. I thank you for all your queries.

            Good news and thanks for letting us know that you no longer required assistance (y)

            You are welcome

            Final nag from me, make sure that you create a new system restore point for the now stable settings.
