HDMI video part works but not audio any more.

Hey, so I have an HDMI cable connected to my monitor and the audio output for the monitor is plugged into my speakers. I have been doing this for a while now with no problems at all but all of a sudden my audio is coming out of my laptop speakers. Any help will be appreciated.

First two tests should be trying the existing cable on another device and swapping in a known good HDMI cable.

Sorry for the late reply but I uh, just restarted my pc and it works now. But thanks for the reply
