Help me, my computer has begun to suck

    Hi!

I need help fixing my pc. It is an intel i5-8600k with an gtx 1080 graphicscard and this settup has worked flawless for a long time up until now.

    Problems:
    • Usually high process usage ingame, but also regular tasks like opening google.
    • Low FPS in a majority of games, usually between 70-80 compaired to a solid 144+ fps before.
    • In whole a very unsmooth experience, especially compaired to before.
    • Games like battlefield shows warnings signs like package loss, Latency variation and low fps.

I feel like I’ve really tried everything. Reseting Windows, Hardware checkup etc… If you have any clue of what this could be, anything would help.

        Thank you for the information!

What version of Windows 10 are you running? They did release a new update, 1909.

I don’t really see how that could be the thing that has caused the issue because it has been there for a long time and the updates has never helped, but I can install the update now.

This is a form of troubleshooting We start establishing a baseline, then going from there. Making sure everything is up-to-date ensures we have a solid baseline to work from

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop. Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When the program opens select the following boxes:

I don’t see anything out of the blue, so let’s try this.

                    [ul]
[li]Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt[/li][li]When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator[/li][li]When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press Enter. [/li]
                    [ICODE]sfc /scannow[/ICODE]
[li]Wait for this to finish before you continue[/li][li]Copy and paste the following command, press Enter.[/li]
                    [ICODE]findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > %userprofile%\Desktop\sfc.txt[/ICODE]
                    [/ul]
That will create sfc.txt on your Desktop. Please attach sfc.txt to your next post:
                    [ul]
[li]Open Reply window. Click β€˜More Reply Options’.[/li][li]Go to the end of your text (if any).[/li][li]Click β€˜Choose Files..’[/li][li]For β€˜File name’ paste this: %userprofile%\Desktop\sfc.txt[/li][li]Click the β€˜Add to Post’ link which will appear on the right when the file has been uploaded.[/li][li]Click β€˜Add Reply’.[/li][/ul]

                      1. command got the following: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
The second code got the message Can not find the searchpath. Could be wrongly translated from Swedish but it means something along those words.

                        OK so that checks out.

Let’s go ahead and download some fresh NVidia drivers. This will be the latest driver for your GPU. One you do that, also download DDU and let me know when both are downloaded

Weird. I downloaded the latest driver and it still gives me the same error when I put in
                          β€œfindstr /c:”[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > %userprofile%\Desktop\sfc.txt" in the Command Prompt…

I have not downloaded and run ddu since after I reset windows. Do you think I should try again?
